Value of 2000 9-3? please help

I have a 2000 9-3. 2 door. 75,000 miles. I have had nothing but problems with this car, and now the head gasket is blown and it needs a new engine. I have to unload it, because i cannot sink another penny into this car. A Saab enthusiast wants to buy it from me, but he wants me to tell him how much i want for it. I have no idea what to ask. Any suggestions for a price will be welcome! Also, I live in Memphis and there is not much of a market for Saabs here.

I'd start with the low end of Blue Book value... and discount the cost of a new engine from there (~$2000).

Try going on www.KBB.com , Spec out your car as if the Engine was fine....see what the private party price is and deduct the cost of the Headgasket repair, you'll be in the ballpark.
