Which headlights do you guys use?
i'm trying to find some sylvania Xtravision headlights for my car, but i can't find them. Where should i buy some good bulbs? I feel that my headlights will go out soon, it's been a year or so. ~Mike

Last time I was in local Target to my surprise they had Sylvania Xtravision bulbs (in the past they hadn't).
I bought them a number of times for my c900 at autozone. If you don't have a local autozone you can order them from autozone online although you do get hit with shipping that way which runs the price up. |

I bought my pair of H7 and H1 from here: http://www.powerbulbs.co.uk/default.asp
Very reliable online retailer plus no tax and free shipping. Most of the time I would have to wait until a sale goes on to get comparable prices to them. Good luck. Edit: I use the Osram Silverstars, they are not the same as Sylvania Silverstars, although one is the parent company of the other. |

The best lamps i've ever used ,very bright white light, but as mentioned in the manual -short life.I put them for low beams on my other car and they last exactly 3 months and pass away in one day/night

I've used the Sylvania Silverstars and as said, they don't last nearly long enough for the cost. Much better luck with the Osram Silverstars but those can't be purchased in any stores in the US. You can find them online and on Ebay though.

mike do a search for daniel stern lighting on yahoo or whatever... Order from him... Get the ralleyes. His site looks sketch and you have to email him.. He is a consultant so he gets back to you really quick and they will arive either in a day or two... They are great.. A really good light projection from the bulb.. I have tried so many bulbs these I think are the top

My car had Silvania Silverstars in it when I got it. At the advice of the forums, I swapped everything with Osram silverstars. Can't tell a bit of difference between them. When the Osrams burnt out, I swapped the old Silvania's in it's place. With the Osram in one side, and the Silvania in the other, they both produced the exact same light. I have found them both to be equally durable as well...

mike just email him asking what he reccomends.. he will let you know there are two options 55w and 65w get the 65 ralleyes he will tell you he has them. or maybe there called +50 narvas? I dont know just email him and trust me.. The more blue/white the light is the more reflections is produces hence why lots or rally drivers use yellow lights. So with that said the light these produce will not look like HIDs or white or blue.. but looks similar to stock but will be brighter and have superiour light pattern aka better vision

Hmmm, looks like Osram have gone down the pan in terms of quality. I'd really struggle to hand over 30 quid to Halfrauds for bulbs though!

ive got ultra bulbs in mine at the moment, (mainly cos they were free) and they are nowhere near as bright as the originals.
I have put the halfords super brilliance bulbs in my mums car and they were a huge improvement + they are often 'Buy one get one free'. Eirian |
