Saab Owner's Center?

Not sure where to post this, so here it is.

I have been trying (several times) to add my VIN to my 'account' at owners.saabusa.com. I have also tried emailing them - no response.

Anybody use that site? successfully? Seems like there is some worthwhile stuff.

The site is nice, but I've had a particular issue with the lease tracker function; it doesn't calculate "predicted miles" correctly.

In my case, it also refused to accept my VIN at first, but that's because the car was new and they hadn't added the new VIN to their database yet. It took Saab about two weeks, but they eventually updated their information and the site took my VIN.

If your car is used, the problem is probably that the previous owner's name is associated to your VIN. I went through the same thing on another GM owner site and all I had to do was provide them proof that I now owned the car. There was a form that needed to be filled out and a fax number to send the form and proof of ownership. I can't find any similar form up on the Saab Owner's site, but that doesn't mean it's not there. Hopefully they'll respond to your email.

As I recall, they require you to fax proof of ownership to them if you are not the original owner. I think it took a few days after that for my account to be opened.

I rarely use the site - about the only thing that's useful is the online owners manual. I've ranted about this before the this site could be so much more useful if I could perform some Tech II changes and download them to my car but I digress...
