searched and no luck.viggen aftermarket seat Q

So i have been looking and no luck. does anyone with a viggen have aftermarket seats (recaro,sparco...) and where did you get your brakets/sliders. any info world help. Im setting up the viggen for autocross days and i need a seat to hold my you know what in. thanks

hmmmm....are you going to sell the Viggen seats?

I know that Paul at Automotion Saab in Billerica, MA (978-667-5373) has Sparco seats in his NG900, and is able to retain most of the stock motor adjustments.....

hey thanks for the little info so far guys. see what i mean not many people has done it yet. haha and no im not going to sell the viggen seats sorry. i love the seats but for auto cross days they don't cut it.

For most, the Viggen seats ARE an upgrade!

I've heard they are the most comfortable and best supporting of all the saab seats (them and the aero seats). I've HEARD, but never sat in anything other than standard 900 seats.

BUT, if you GIVE me your old seats, I will make you new rails or whatever you want to fit in new seats of your choice! My qualifications include: I'm a mechanical engineer, love saabs, work in a manufacturing plant where I have access to lots of machines and welders, I love long walks, and am very loyal.

i plan on putting a black microsuede corbeau TRS in place of my crappy drivers seat this january. i was gong to go sparco monza but $369 is a lot easier to come up with then $699. as for brackets, call a rock crawler fabracation shop, i talked to one in my city and they are going to make me one.

if you want a seat that's a better then any saab seat get the recaro sport seats. I use to have a set in my SPG (prior to that 9000 aero seats) & they are definantly the best I have ever used. Viggen seats are comfy but they lack enough lateral support for any kind of agressive driving. The Sport seats from Recaro are not only EXTREMELY comfortable but they are available in numerous shades of leather (match your viggen actually) & are power, heated, etc & have descent lateral support.

I think I payed $1600 is a seat a few years back

Wedge Engineering out in California can do the brackets or you might be able to get them from Recaro.

If you want a track day only seat I am sure Wedge can still make the brackets for you

nice good info. i am going with recaros looking at the speed or the pole pos. seats. this will be for track days but it will also be my daily driver seat as well. keep the info coming guys. thanks for all of it so far.

p.s. just to keep everyone posted im going to be putting a spec stage 3 clucth in the viggen in about week, so im really happy about that.
