I've searched the past threads and not found a definate answer apart from pay a lot to the man in the Sabb parts dept at your local dealer ( which may not even stock it anymore). I've had some issues for a while where some days it's lovely and smooth ( like the day it went for it's MOT

......are you asking what fluid to put in the car, where to get it? Or what parts to replace. Your post is a bit vague to say the least! :-P

i use Dexron III automatic gearbox oil, i think. can be bought in Halfords. dont know officially if it is the right stuff but have been using it for over a year now

I don't really think these steering racks are snobby at all. The bentley says that GM power steering fluid is the stuff, I haven't had any problems...
