And the rubber tube goes too...?

Hi all. I was poking around in the engine bay just to check my tubes are all ok but I've just found one that isn't connected to anything. Its the rubber tube that come up from the transmission area and is attached to the fuse box but that's as far as it goes. does this have a home? It's not the ribbed one but the smooth black one next to it.

It's just a breather hose and is not supposed to be connect to anything. It is mounted high, probably, so that it soes not get any water/dirt/etc in it.
