9-5 3.0 V6 Tid

Any good?
I believe they are 150bhp, but with Aeroesque torque levels?
I know its never gonna be a monster but with better intake and exhaust and larger injectors? (not aux fais with oil burners) is 220ish bhp possible? Any ecu upgrades possible?

Abbott Racing is the only tuner I know of that does the 3.0 upgrade:

3.0 V6 TiD Power Upgrade

Standard BHP: 176

Upgraded BHP: 212

Standard Torque: 350NM

Upgraded Torque: 420NM

andy, 2 weeks ago i was in nottingham saab for my annual service and mot. he had 1 in there needed a new engine. full saab main dealer service history and it was £6750 for the engine, it was the 2nd inside a month . there maybe plenty of good 1's about with full service history and low milage but with the thoughtof this could happen i wouldn't touch them with a barge pole . i would phone wessy for a chat first, a new car for the wife slightly tuned for when you drive

I would avoid the 3.0Tdi, the good ones are very good but there seems to be a lot of moody ones out there. Typical faults are broken EGR valve that costs a silly amount of money, and even worse a dropped cylinder liner that causes coolant blowout and means a new engine.
