Hello all. I'm afraid I'm in a mess with my headliner for my '88 900 four door with sunroof . I was removing it to replace the headliner material and it tore in two places along the sunroof cutout. It is now in two pieces. I was hoping someone made replacement headliners but was unable to find such a thing. What I was wondering was is my only option to get a headliner from a parts car ? I cannot see how this could be repaired but if anyone has had any luck doing so I would greatly appreciate advice . Or , if someone knows where one could be bought new that would be great. I have searched the 900 forum and haven't found any info on this. I've had my Saab for about two years now and this site has helped me out on many projects I've done on it. A truly great forum .

I used wood glue to piece together the front corner of my headliner.

Mesh drywall tape on the backside and PL4000 construction adhesive.
Goop in in the crack, masking tape on the face side and then drywall mesh tape the back and spread it nice and evenly with a spackling blade or a slice of stiff cardboard. Oh, wear gloves!!!

Also, if you have ever done any fiberglass work it is very easy to patch it together using fiberglass cloth and epoxy. Piece o' cake.

Or use a PVA mix (much like the wood glue suggestion above).
