Default 2.2 Tid bleeding fuel system

Today started cleaning up intake after CEL flashing.
CEL falshed because of dumped EGR valve.
So i cleaned up everything. It was mess.

Get it all together after all and tried to cranck my engine.
Noraml crankcing but no start.
Tahn i remembered that i need to bleed the fuel system because it is diesel engine.
So i tried to bleed system while my girlfriend sit at the steering wheel crancking engine but no fuel coming out of small fuel bleeding valve at fuel pump.

And then accumulator charged out.

So i would know how long time is needed to bleed and pump up the fuel???

Please explain the accumulator "charging out"..

On a Mercedes, I recall about 10 seconds.....
Even after changing the filter on the VW, I recall very little bleed time.
About 4 to 6 times I removed the lines to the injectors...left the nuts a bit loose, turned her over for a few seconds, tightened the fittings, and she started right up...
But these were much simpler, and ,IMO, much better Diesels....
