For those of you that have wheels that are not fully painted (i.e with a machined lip/face or polished or whatever) how do you guys protect that machined surface? I've been trying to miss every pothole I see, even the small ones, but somehow still end up with some form of road rash on my wheels.

Prepare to pay close to ten percent of what you paid for your car.

Since you are in PA you will most likely have to go thru either UK ordering (Shipping issues) or SON which will literally be 5k most likely for rims that are not Forged and Heavy.

Look into FOrgestars (not forged) but cheaper and look good, lighter wheels.

The F14 are very nice looking. Do they require spacers?

When you order your wheels from Forgestar, you can specify the off-set (within a range) and they will basically one-off you a set of wheels. So, no spacers are not a requirement. However, you will need to run hubcentric rings. Forgestar provides plastic rings with their wheels, I'm looking at having some metal rings machined.

If you come on out to the KoP meet on the 24th, you'll see what 19" F14's look like on a 9-3 in person. It might help you make your decision on wheels, seeing them up close.

I had plastic hubcentric rings that I installed with my wheels and I was wondering what's the point of them really? Why not just have the rim metal fill in the area there instead of inserting simple plastic to the place where all of my horsepower is delivered to the road?
