I have a 1999 saab 9-3 2.0t and was wondering what is different between mine and a 2002 with the same motor. My mom has one and it has a little more pull then mine. My next question is what can i do for mine that is relativley inexpensive that will give me that extra pull? Another question is can you turn up the boost on these motors and if so is it through the ECU?

Sorry for all the ?'s but im used to working on my 1967 Camaro and i don't know what i need to do to this little motor to get some more power out of it without going into the motor or computer... by the way how much does it cost for a programmer or an ecu upgrade. I want to turn up my boost if possible and not expensive.

If you mean a 2002 hatch and a 1999 hatch (as opposed to your mothers that could have be the SS) then the difference is down to the engine management tuning. You can get a PPC engine tweak to turn the 2.0t into the 2.0T it is the same engine just different tuneing / software.
