It happend at maybe 20mph and the back bumper is toast. How much do you guys think it will it cost to put on a new bumper, painted to match at the saab dealership?? I can't call in until Monday morning so wanted to see what you guys thought. There is also a plastic thing hanging down too... maybe that needs to be replaced? Everything else is fine, mainly the trunk, the bumper took the whole impact.
What a bad day... 100% the other person's fault. |

You never know if there is any underlying damage. May look like a little bit, but it could be like $2,000. But, it was not your fault right? Your insurance is covering it right?

I was rear-ended in traffic and it ran to the tune of +$3000 including new bumper, cover, deck-lid and welded replacement to the rear portion of the uni-body. Took two weeks to get the parts and another week to repair. Looks and works like new now. I had a good shop.

Here de-facto the guy in the back is 100% at fault, so HIS insurance pays up. I dont think u need to worry about costs

Check that your exhaust tip/s weren't touched you might be able to get a new sports muffler
Be sure that you get all you can. And if the other driver signed an acknowledgment of the fact that he ran into you... you have nothing to worry about. No cost to you and you will not loose any no-claims bonus. Here it is possible that the insurance will reccomend a garage with whom they have an agreement but be sure that you go 100% SAAB and have the insurance approve the estimate. Hope it wont take too long. David

I got rear-ended about a month ago, and the rear bumper was wtill in very good shape, despite a couple of indentations along the length of it. I was hit pretty hard too, mind you.
I still got the shop to fix it and still cost the other guy AU$1350. He was uninsured.....silly boy! Oh well... SAAB_ON |

The wife got hit a month ago as well. Cost was $1645. The muffler was crushed so I was able to replace with a flow master.
Make sure you get it done right.
