93 Phone???

Hello gents,

New to the forum and haven't had much chance to review all the threads yet. However Id like to cut to the chase and ask my question. Is it possible to activate the factory phone system in the 2006 93? I know the manual states that the system was setup for european use. But thats BS. There has got to be a way to activate it or install a bluetooth system and intergrate it. Any thoughts or info on this subject is greatly appriciated.

Can't activate it as the system uses GSM 900/1800. US GSM is 850/1900. Systems are different in hardware and software. Someone looked into conversion, but the modules weren't available.

Bluetooth can be partially integrated (using a third party BT kit), but this only mutes incoming calls, pipes audio through audio system and allows use of volume controls.

You may be able to use the pre-wired mic and antenna depending upon your build config.

There is also a recent thread about Saab OEM Bluetooth kit possibly coming out in the fall/winter???
