And as far as I can tell only works on 98-02 9-3s.

If you take the time to read the stuff on the website, you find out he's currently working on the previous model 9-3 and 9-5. Seems those adapters/interfaces are shipping soon (August).

2003 and up 9-3's should be ready by this fall.

I'd like to discuss the product, but I mean, you have to admit that this is a strange way of presenting a new product. How and where is it connected and what does it actually look like? Besides that greyish box in between the I-pod and that SAAB drawing, I didn't find anything on that site.

So, I can already buy something which is not yet on the market and the iPod connection cable has to be determined at time of publication?

I want, no, NEED something like that but I think I'll be waiting until someone can give a first "debriefing" before buying.


If it turns out to be a reliable gismo, I'm buying.

How it all works:
The Trollpod is simple in its operation; take one command, convert it to another. When Saab engineered our cars, they chose the unconventional route of integrating the audio system into the car's network. This posed a challenge to the scores of iPod accessory providers and left the Saab community without the ability to use third-party devices safely. So to sum it all up, Trollpod is a translator for the car's network and the iPod. Furthermore, it charges the iPod and takes full advantage of the car's superb audio system.

Talking about showing songs on the SID, has anybody made this posible? I am only able to display tracks name when I select Change Track.

Display track names on the SID? What kind of track names? I only see the song number when playing a cd.

Ok, so this is specifically designed for an iPod? Can you not just order the aux-in install from Saab and use that for your iPod?BTW (by the way) pbp does stand for play-by-play.

IMO the 7 speaker system sounds decent, although i'll probably upgrade to infiniti's in the near future. I have a aux-in i will be installing for general audio input for $40. windows media based player for me. the full integration is cool though.

So from what I saw on this site, it doesn't look like there is a model for the 2006's yet. Is there going to be one? Is it the one that he refers to as coming out in the December timeframe??
