Just supposing I were to move to Illinois to live (Peoria area, to be specific) and wanted to buy a 9-3 2.0T with a decent spec - how much should I expect to pay?
What price used (2-3 years old with a high spec)? What price new (again with a decent spec)? Might be in the market for a US 9-3 and I'm intrigued by some of the prices quoted on here. Cheers Aero_adam |

Several of the dealers have many used Certified 9-3SS on their lots. Plan a 2 hour trip up North and do some shopping

Anyone think that there would be any point buying new? Get a 2007 MY car with all the new interior? Better stereo? Cleaner looks etc etc
What is the case for buying a new model? How much would I pay for a well specced 210 bhp 9-3 SS? I'd be looking for leather, xenons, top stereo upgrade. Help me out here... |

You should also look at the International and Diplomat Sales if you are looking to buy new.
http://www.saab.co.uk/main/GB/en/index.html Services from the top bar then IDS from the menu that appears. This is the European Delivery equivilant for soon to be expats to the US. You pay $ pricing but can have the car in Europe for up to 2 years before Saab ship it to the US (if I recall). Bit of a pain for the UK as you will be driving a LHD in the UK for a bit, but cost effective. |

Theres a dealer in the Chicagoland area (Downers Grove Saab -- you can view their inventory online at www.luxurymotors.com) where I bought my 2003 Arc w/ 40k miles in immaculate shape for $15,995. I had it certified for an extra $1,500. They actually had a number of good deals including another 2003 for $14,995 and a number of '04's and '05's. Most were certified and they were a very friendly bunch of car salesmen...rare in my experience. Don't be afraid to haggle (although you won't have much leverage, their prices seemed to be the best in the nation)!

According to this artcile, when dealing with Luxury Motors, proceed with caution.

Hi there,
See Kelly blue book link below: www.kbb.com Go to new car pricing and plug in the Saab 2007 2.0t Sticker price for a new 2.0t is about $26,645 (manuel, no sun roof or metalic paint). In the states, 210 horse power is standard in the 06 or 07 models...quick as hell. All dealers should be around the same price. Also, if you go to Saabusa.com you should be able to find a bunch of dealers upstate in ChiTown. You should never have to pay sticker price...I bet you could get at least $1500 off MSRP. Also, right now, Saab has the GM 0% 36 month financing. Saab doesn't like to advertise it but its on the GM website. You should make-out like a bandit...especially when you eventually ship it back to the UK. |

I got my 03 Vector,CPO 48k for 18.3 before Tax/Reg etc. That's in the NY metrp (10 miles and I'm in the City) area. Everything but Nav.

Peoria, IL works well if you want a Saab. The only Saab dealer outside of Chicago is in a town about 10 minutes east of Peoria in a suburb called Washington, IL. Uftring Chevrolet/Saab. It's where I bought my 9-3.

Grabbed mine at 39k miles for $15995 out the door from Saturn/Kia of Florence, KY. You can usually find good deals from dealerships that buy saabs from auctions after leases expire and saab doesnt want the overhead, thats how i got mine.

Check out autorader.com for the selection both in and outside your area. I grew up in (southern) Illinois and now live in middle TN. Pricing varies widely even in the same area - it mostly depends on how motivated the dealer is. |

The dealer at Downer's Grove is advertising 0% for up to 72 months on some cars, including the 9-3 2.0T. Anyone know if GMAC has extended the Aero financing deal to the 2.0T? My dealer here hasn't mentioned anything about it.
