Default Viggen Body Kit?

I have a 95 900se turbo and i was looking for a body kit. However, I can't figure out which viggen body kit would work. (I don't necessarily need the viggen, i just want a body kit for not too much $$$). Any suggestions/help?
Thanks.

Does anyone else think it might be a good idea to sticky a body kit thread? I think there is a new one lilke every other day. Maybe not this one, but i just wanted to see what others thought.

I'd second that! We should have a sticky with the approximate cost of the Viggen bodykit, the rarity of finding a used one, and the fact that there aren't any aftermarket alternatives except for the over-the-top Realcar kit.

Don't worry about it. Start with this post of mine, which has the prices for all the parts that go to the front bumper. It might scare you though. The rear bumper will cost you another $800 in parts, and the side sills are about $400 each.

it cant be done for cheap, any body kit for that matter, here are your options;

from cheapest to most expensive:

abbot racing front lip, looks like this:

around 500-600

then, theres the saab factory body kit, which will be expensive, because its not in production or readily availble anymore, so expect to pay a bit more, maybe 400-700

then theres the viggen kit-around 1400 to half *** it, 2000 to do it right

then theres the draken, which is readily available in sweden, could be done for like 2300 including shipping, looks like this:

I still don't know what to do though. Haha. What would you do if it was your car? And where can I buy these body kits?

a viggen kit at dealer prices including paint, if you don't have a 9-3 but ng900 will cost well over 3000 maybe 4000

if you already have a 9-3 you save some money you can resuse some parts

you can skip some parts like splash shields but they contribute to stable aerodynamics at speeds. you also skip some trim parts but it will not look as clean.

best bet is to hunt junkyards if you have good luck.... Tweek has amazing luck I never heard of the prices he finds...

so... good luck!

heres a few ways to get a link to the swedish body kits:

go to www.garaget.org

or go to the stcs.nu forums and look in the styling section, thats where i ahve come across all of them.

saab body styling isnt an easy thing. If it was my car i would literaly just get the abbot front lip and keep the rest stock, or the OEM body kit. they are both the cheaper options, but i personaly wouldnt go all out. I'd rather take a trip to the carribbean, buy a brand new turbo, get tuned.....

yeah OK I have a viggen kit.... but I got lucky and got rear ended so it helped to pay for it.

to tell you the truth, once my car was lowered, it looked really great with just the SE kit. nice wheels and lowering springs makes the SE cars look just right...

I think that kit's been discontinued for a few years. I can't believe I can't remember the manufacturer right now, but their website was up when I bought my car about 5 years ago, and then went away about a year after that. I always liked their spoiler. It looked just like the Viggen one, but didn't cover the antenna hole.
