Transporting 3-door rear trunk lid

Quick question all - I need to transport a 3-door rear trunk lid (boot lid).
Would it fit in the back of a 3-door C900 with the seats folded ?

probably with the hatch open (tied down, not flapping around, but not latched either) - thinking about the shape it'd probably be on it's side - and might fit "best" with the vertical part (where the license tag attaches) shoved in first ....

Please note - I've not tried this - just trying to imagine it in a spatial relationship sense ...

The only two things off a 900 that won't fit in the hatch (closed) are the Hatch and the Hood.

When I moved one I used an old trailer tent without the tent. Fitted perfectly (in fact it was rather hard to get it out again!
