Whats your car history?

with me getting my first saab on friday , i sort of realised iv had quite a varied car history in my short time driving. what cars have you owned?

first car - 2003 Fiat Punto Active Sport 1.2 8v
From new - 24,000 miles - WRITTEN OFF

second car - 2001 Volvo S40 1.8 122bhp (mistubishi derived engine) Sport
bought at auction - 83,000 miles - TRADED IN

third car - 2000 Saab 9-3 LPT Airflow
bought from garage - 40,000 miles - CURRENT CAR

Am very happy for you and you must be thrilled at getting your new really good looking car.
You must have put a few bottles on ice

You will end up spending hours on this forum and will find tons if invaluable information here. You should try using the "search" feature for the whole forum or for each section. It works well and helps pin-point a question/problem that a member has already encountered. You can then, if necessary "pm" that member for more detailed info.

thanks d. sorry to revisit topics - i should know the etiquette from other forums that i use, sorry i was just too lazy to use the search feature.

for what its worth - so far - i like the atmosphere in saabcentral, those in the knowledge offer it without predjudice or arrogance. keep up the good work guys.

No apologies needed. You should be applauded for having posted the photo of you car so fast.. Millions of hours and I still have yet to post a photo. My first 9-3 was similar to yours but 4 door. The newer SS model has some advantages but I really miss the bumpers! Once I got rammed in the back-side by a brand new Fiat. His front end was destroyed, he was in tears and I was trying to find a scratch on the bumper

my dad had a 03 9-3 SS in vector trim with 17" aero alloys in cosmic blue - i loved that car - but he sold it cos gettin older he thought the ride was too harsh ! although it was in the rather less refined 2.2 Tid. He still weaps at the depreciation he suffered. £10k in 15 months to be precise.

I have the same car your dad had except the colour.
BUT even with the 17" wheels the drive is softer than my previous '98 9-3 SE. And my wife, who is a lousy passenger (frog), was the first to say so.
