Default which boost gauge to get??

Thinking of putting one where the headlight switch goes, or one above the steering wheel?? Is there a particular kind I should be looking for?

Search and you shall find. Or spend big bucks and get a digital like mine.

www.egauges.com I like the VDO the best but they only make -20 - + 20 boost/vaccum gauge, I ended up getting the Autometer -30 - +30 I like to have to extra 10psi on the gauge to see if I might have a problem and I can see if I am overboosting

I put a the VDO vision in my headlight switch spot. Its 25psi/30inHG and matches great cause the numbers are green and teh needles red (close enough). I dont have a pic yet but I'll get one soon.

Get a boost/vacuum gauge -- these are much more useful.

A tad off subject, but what is the amount of vacuum a viggen is supposed to show at idle? My spg shows around 16, but the viggen is lower.

Uhh, that gauge does go higher than 15. Its in BAR. 1.5 BAR = 22 PSI. 1 BAR = 15 PSI. http://www.britishmetrics.com/html/pis-bar.htm

Mine is usually about 15-16 cold and then about 19-20 warm. Drops to about 17-18 with A/C on.

My NG900 has 15-16 when cold, then keeps at 18-19 after it warms up. The 9-5 is 19 cold, 20-21 hot. On a really cold winter morning, the 900 would sometimes start with 13-14 Hg vacuum.

I just got the Autometer Phantom II boost/vac gauge.

Phantom II

The mechanical 30psi one cause my old gauge only went to 20...and I was now off the charts .

Its back lit as well and looks better than the original Phantom line at night.

autometer fan here as well

they go to 30 PSI & it's pretty easy to get to 20-25PSI thus the extra room is kinda nice

Cobalt & Phantom is what I have on my cars
