ok im at the end of my rope, i cant afford an engine for my aero, so i was wondering whats it worth in parts, i was told the interior is worth some good money and i know the turbo and apc might be, transmission is still good, rims and tires are good (center caps maybe needed to be perfect) motor has a lower end knock noticible from 1500 rpm (quiet) then louder as you go, thanks for any input guys

well guys see the problem is im in a money situation, im moving away to school in 3 months and have no money saved. sooo buying an engine is not lookin like it would help me in any means in the money dept. i cant find anything in my price range and to just change the rod bearings scares me for the fact that what if peices of bearing got into the mains and one of the mains goes on me when im 500 miles away from home in college, then im screwed. i also wonder if there are any problems with the crank, the car does have over 200k on it. i dont really wanna part it out because i know its rare, and the body is pretty decent, it does have some dents and ding from being a highway car and the front of the hood has some rust from always being on the highway. if anyone knows of anyone who may be interested in buying the complete car to fix let me know, make me an offer, the car is in mass

You know you will be selling the car as if it has a blown engine. If I didn't have three 9k's already I probably will be interested. Don't know what to advise you.
What are the symptoms? The 2.3L engine can still kick ***** with it being less than perfect. Before I took my 94cde off the road to replace the engine it didn't lose any of the lustre running with low oil pressure (oil light came on at 1,000 rpm and less). It has been running with two crank shaft bearing caps fused with the shaft. ![]() ![]() ![]()

the car has a lower end knock like i said, its not like wicked loud but it is there and the last thing i need is to be at college in PA and have the motor blow, cause we all know college kids got no money, ive been there before and its the last thing ill need to deal with, the car also has a rough idle, it has a new ignition casette and plugs but still skips. so it may be injectors or whatever. i do like the car but the chance of the motor going on me scares me and i dont really wanna take the chance. i would post in classifieds but i have no idea what to ask for the car. i know the book is still high but not sure what its worth in its condition

I could use a few parts if you go that route. You can make more money, but it takes time. I just parted out a landcruiser and doubled what I paid for it.
