I prefer AWD, like the WRX............stock is like 220hp???? i think? Thats about mid HP range i would say. i know you can get them up to like 400hp with some work......
funny watching the rednecks jaw drop when this little 4cyc. jap. car runs a 1/4 just as fast as there V-8. |

My vote is AWD. Hate to admit it, but If I could've afforded a 911 Turbo instead of a 900s, I may never have become a SAAB fan at all. Though in the highest HP applications, with perfect road conditions (racetrack) I bet that RWD is best.

I know the RWD system with a live axle doesnt quite handle perfect So I was thinking of an Indepenant Rear suspenion.Would that handle well on twisty roads?

AWD is the **** you can not get better. I drove an S4 audi and i am convinced that if i ever buy a new car it will be an audi. But since i will never afford a new car i will stick with SAAB.

Is your question faster or more fun? AWD for speed I guess, but for driving satidfaction, you can't beat RWD. There is a natural feel of lots of HP and a RWD that can't be matched. Maybe its just me and my motorcycle background, but I love the feeling of sliding the rear in a corner with the power on. Gets your heart racing like no AWD can!

if you like going around a turn and power sliding like in an M3 than you would love to drift in an awd audi. The only reason i like them is because my friend has an audi and he is a nut trust me four wheel drifting is great.

I think, in general, that I just don't like "improvements" that start to eliminate driver skill, or lack of it, from the equation. I've driven AWD a fair bit and pushed it really hard. I liked it, but I like living on the edge too. Plus, the car does not a driver make. I think the most fun thing is to find some Nabob in a TT or BMW and then mock him with an obviously inferior car.
