Gotta love that rear seat thing, the thing is, thoses rear seats are still ultimately exerting their downforce on the same few cm of tyre that is touching the road, so it makes not a jot of difference (unless someone with a better understanding of physics can tell me why it does).

Assuming the seats are significant in weight, you could adjust the weight distribution of the vehicle, which would move the center of gravity. But by NO means would it reduce weight, that's just plain funny.

Corsa 1.2 with near 50/50 weight distribution for better handling (with rear seats folded down and empty glove compartment).

I think the part that makes it even funnier is that he came back to defend WHY folding down the seats make the car weigh less. I would join a debate team just to have this guy on it with me. He will make up things that sound like they came from a book somewhere but be complete nonsense.
