Default Red line how far to push it

hiya every one, here goes
coming back from bornemouth late last night i had a massive section of empty motorway so i floored her! Wow never really used the higher end rev range before as i have been reluctant to go into the 5500rpm limit but touched it last night. above 5000 she really wants to fly but dont want to damage anything.

So?? is the broken 5500 rpm red line the highest i should push it or can i go further without hurting her?

FYI abbott intercooler installed

Please tell me i dont want to blow her up!

The engine has a rev limiter, so you can't blow it up. Mine kicked in when I put it on a dyno. The fuel supply is cut off so the engine suddenly loses power. Taking it up to red line every now and then won't kill it, so don't worry. It's called an "Italian tune up".

What model of car do you have? Because my 900 turbo's redline is indicated at 6200rpm.

I have a v6 auto 900 and when I push it either in sport mode or normal it will hit up to 6400 or 6500 RPM before it shifts. The redline it at 6000RPM. As long as you don't drive it hard like that all the time it will be perfectly fine.

The rev limiter kicked in at about 200-250 RPM past the red line. I'd have to look at the RPM gauge to see exactly where that is.
