BCPR7EIX NGK spark plugs

NGK has come up with some new type of spark plug, called IRIDIUM IX BCPR7EIX.
I know that my c900 fpt have to have BCP7EVX, but can I use the new ones, even they have an R in the part no. I know that R = resistence for DI cars, but some one told me that the new iridium plugs have a bigger spark!

I'm not the official word on this. But IIRC, the R can cause problems with the system. And Irridium doesn't give a big enough performance increase to justify the extra cost.
