A Gallon vs. ???

Some astute observations today:

A gallon of gas cost the same as a gallon of MILK
A gallon of gas cost the same as a six pack of Balentine Beer
A gallon of gas cost the same as a pound of Chicken Salad
A gallon of gas cost the same as a tube of Crest Toothpaste

And finally....

A GALLON OF GAS COST THE SAME AS A MCDONALD'S HAPPY MEAL!!!!

These items are not purchased in near the same quantity, however.

How does gas compare to bottled water?

1 gallon = 128 Fluid Ounces, so
1 bottle of water (20 oz) = roughly 1 US dollar

To round up, it would require 7 bottles of water to fulfill 1 gallon, so 1 gallon of water (buying by bottles) would be 7 dollars...ouch.

I think it would be a lot cheaper to buy in bulk.

Unless there is a difference between the US gasoline gallon (that should be 3,78 litre) and the US milk gallon (no clue). Weirdo US measurements

Depends if it you are talking about dried milk or liquid milk..

1 gallon [US, liquid] = 3.785 411 8 liter

1 gallon [US, dry] = 4.404 883 8 liter

1 gallon [UK] = 4.546 09 liter

Gallons of liquid are the same here in the USA (but dry gallons, ~4.4 litre, are different).
