As the weather was good today, I finally got around to painting the front brake calipers on my car. I think they look good. What do you think?

Very nice!
I knew someone who got new calipers, painted them to match the car then discovered he's bought the wrong ones! |

Hehe, at first I was like "SILVER!? Why SILVER!?" Then you showed the picture with the whole region and the wheel and body. Very very nice! I may have to do that myself...

No I didn't, but that's only because I didn't have enough time. Next time I've got a spare couple of hours when it's dry and I'll do it.

I can't seem to stop looking at them now as they look so good. Just wish they were Brmbo or AP Racing ones though!

Saab's genuine Viggen discs are not handed, so one will always be on "wrong"............apparently

That looks great .... any details on how you did it?
Also, how did you get SAAB on them? That looks really sharp! I had paint that I bought when I had my black 900 ... I guess I'll have to get me some silver paint now that I have a silver car! |

The logo is high-temp decal sticker.
I bought the decals of a company on eBay last June. They were selling paint kits and decals for other cars so I asked if they could do it for mine. They asked me to measure the maximum length on the smallest caliper and asked whether I wanted them straight or curved. They now sell the decal kits for Saabs as standard on eBay in many colours. There's a job I may get round to one day, but I don't know what colour
Maybe I'll just have to get the WP brake upgrade.... |

After reding your post and seeing your pics, I did the same thing... we have the same car, same color, same bodykit and very similar alloys...
![]() I know the car is filthy but... This is actually just a test, I wanted to see how how calipers become and how badly standard paint would last. Yes, I just scrubbed the calipers, brake-cleaned 'em then painted with STANDARD touch-up metallic PAINT - the same can I had bought to paint my mirrors color coded, before ditching that idea- 5€ a can. 600km later, I still can't see and flaw in the paint, only some brake dust deposited on the lower art of the front calipers. Oooh! Yellow! Nah, just kidding, I'd go for black but, if you could match your wheel colour, that would do.
