Default Drivers Seat Broken

Hi Guys, I have an issue with the Drivers seat in my 9000cse. It has kind of collapsed on one side and doesn't move up and down properly. The reclining part is fine and the sliding from front to back is also ok. Its just the height adjustment that is broken. It will go up and down but if you sit in it, it is twisted and doesn't hold it position.

Has anybody had a similar experience? Any suggestions on what I may be able to do would be great. Also what is the Screwdriver BIT I need to remove the star type screws to remove the seat on its rails.

Look forward to your replies.

Thanks

Question Mine squeaks

The drivers seat in my '95 Aero squeks when I move or go over a large bump. I think somone on the board sugested I just tighten the LARGE Torx screws that hold the track down. Have you checked to see if the track was screwed down?

Yeah. In fact I couldn't get them out!

I think it is more the Hydrolics of the seat that are busted. I wonder if best solution is to try and find a matching seat from another Saab.

Maybe your best bet, I am thinking if the screws are not in the tracks are not straight and that is binding the power seat!

im having a similar problem with my passenger seat, only difference is my reclining is the thing that is messed up

anyway i made a post about this a while ago and boxman, i believe it was him, said that its kinda a common problems, apparently i was supposed to look under the seat and see if a wire fell out and to reconncect it unfortunetly for me i can get down there to look at it because my rear passenger door wont open because it is stuck in the lock position and that lock fob thing is able to be lifted up and down but it doesnt feel connected to anything, come to think of it how can i take the door panels off without opening up the door(an impossibilty at this point and thus the problem) please help me if ya know
