Default Coincidence? I think so...

So, I was driving down the road and met a blue(?) Morris Minor coming the other way. "Oooh! Look at that!". Pulled into the shopping centre car park 500 metres away and parked beside a red Morris Minor! "Wow! Another one!". 5 minutes later, leaving the carpark, "Look! There's another one!". Another pale blue Morris Minor. Now maybe that was the one I'd met going the other way 10 minutes earlier... And, three days later I met the same one driving around...

I had a green one in 1965. I don't know where it is now? Could have been one of those you saw repainted

But, I don't think it's very probable

I have all the first hand info you want on the frog eyed Sprite..

The floor rust was so bad I could "pedal" to economise

But so much fun .. Haven't heard of a "tonneau cover" since. With a zip if you were on your own... not often a great machine for

I used to really love the "side curtains", especially in the winter. Were the wipers 9" or 10"?

The funny knob with the key in the middle, in the middle of the dash.
The entire front end would lift up. We called them "bug eye" sprites here.

It was a great car, like my Hillman Minx.

I will say that my MG1100 (model later to became Austin America) is the one I most miss, 12" tires and all.

I went on to a GT6+. Car and driver sports car of the year that year. With the optional overdrive. Lots of fun though not a vert. Drove it for 10 years. Through snow storms, races, commutes to school and back. Could it be? A triumph that lasted? WOW
Those cars were fun. They used to involve the user with the car. A symphony of man and machine.

Yes but then maybe younger, more impressionable, out taste buds "fresher" and more dare devil. However we have moved our minds in the same direction to a car that: involve the user with the car. A symphony of man and machine. Can only be a SAAB.

Et voila you have found the new ad line/

SAAB, A symphony of man and machine

I've had two GT6'S, one TR6, two Triumph Vitesses (one vert), one Spitfire, one Dolomite Sprint & my father had an old Mayflower for many years. and I very nearly swapped my almost new 750 Honda for an immaculate old TR5, which in hindsight would have been a particularly shrewd investment

with a couple of exceptions above, a Triumph of style over substance I would say
