Saab Dealer Toy Car

Hello folks,

I remember when I got my Saab 900 SPG in Austin Texas, that I also bought a nicely detailed plastic toy car of the 900 SPG ('twas in black) largish in size (at least 1:18 if not larger- about 12 inches long) that I kept for years.

All of a sudden I remembered it and wonder if anyone else had one also.

I am looking through my old stuff to see if I can find it.

I have 2 of these cars the same size from 1982/3, flat front 900T16S, one in Oderado the other in Pearl White.

I do remember that they also had a pearl one, tho' I did get the dark one as it was closest to my car at the time.

Any suggestions as to whom the manufacturer was or a way of tracking down one, or both?

Oh yea, I had the white 900 police car, an old black 900 4 door, and a 9000 but can't remember the color.

The best part of these were how they bounced end over end all the way down the stairs.

You are quite welcome to come round and play as long as you can do a rev limiter noise and the loud bang that the old centrefugal rev limiter sounded like on the old 99/900, otherwise yer not coming round.

All it says under the models is: 1984 SAAB 900 and made in finland. No mention of a factory. I did have a grey 9000 hatchback, god knows where that is.
