OK its not my account its the farther inlaws, but its starting to anoy me to say the least! Every few months I get a phone call from him saying that he can't get on to the internet... We phone them up, and they tell him that someone has sent several hundered emails from his account so they have locked it... Then they reinable the account and a few months later we start the process again...
I have had his machine inside out looking for trojans etc but can find nothing. Anyone got any ideas (apart from dumping them) ??? Cheers |

No one should use AOL. Ever. Period. Get cable/DSL and give AOL the finger. AOL is and will always be a pain in the ***.

It's probably the e-mail account, and not the computer.
...and, as stated above, AOL really REALLY sucks the big one anyway. |

If he insists on using AOL then make sure that he doesn't use the e-mail accounts that they provide. Make sure he uses (shiver) MSN or Yahoo (or equivalent). That way if someone is abusing his e-mail account you can point it that it isn't used by your FIL and that it's their problem.
