Default Nutcase was busy freezing today. Kit car SVA day!

Spent most of today at the VOSA centre getting the kitcar 4 of us have been building for far too long SVA'd (Single Vehicle Assesment). Failed of course, but the only thing that could pose a major stumbling block is the front wheels stick out too far. Not sure why as other cars using the same kit have been ok.

Pics here:

The first two are the same. Whoops!

Yup. It's helpful, but still very open to interpretation etc. For example, we assumed that lamp height was measured from where the bulb is, but the rear fogs failed because the bottom of the actual lamp unit was too low.

Thats a really beautiful car, I saw a comparitive test of kit cars in Classic and sportscar recently and that was the only one which I really really wanted .
I guess Banham can tell you how to get through the SVA

Banham conversions were of no help at all. They said the car wouldn't even NEED an SVA. They went bust a while back leaving a lot of people short of components etc. It seems they might have even sold their tooling to two seperate companies as well - but only one set of tools...
