Anyone with a 85-86 painted their headlight surrouns black? Pics with black grill?

Hey guys.

I love my black grill vs the chrome grill... however I'm thinking about painting the headlight surrounds flat black to match...

Anyone already done this? PIcs?

You need to source euro headlights, I think that would be the greatest improvement you could make.

I did this exact thing you mention. Ill post pics tommorrrow after I clean her. However mine would look better with clear lenses.

I would like clear turning signals... I think... I dunno... seems a bit too "ricerish" with "Altezzas"

I can't find any.... just for the 87+ models.

you can get em through www.genuinesaab.com they dont usually stock em, but they can get em in a month usually from , i love em and they were quite cheap since theyre just the lenses , not the whole thing like the later style ones.

I was thinking about doing the same thing once I paint my grill but I don't know, I kinda like the sliver. Jon, I'm jealous of your car. It has 100,000 more miles than mine and looks to be in much better shape.

Nah, it is in good shape though. STRONG engine. I wouldn't be surprised if it still had honing marks on the cylinder walls!
