I think that is indeed the way to do it, through the existing conduit, not sure how you access it though, getting the door card off isnt too hard but not sure about the end inside the cabin

i can, and have stripped the inside out...a few times now, carpets, glovebox, door card etc, and got to the wiring, but its a pain in the ***. Trying to work out what wire is what and which to hook up my new wires to on the inside.
Where could I find out what colour wire on the inside is connected to the speaker in the front door, if that makes any sence |

If you get into the door by removing the card can you not see the wires?

aaaaaaaaaaa, thats very helpful, now I know which wire goes to what speaker. So i can just intercept the needed wire, and the connect my own speaker wire to it and then feed it to the amp.
This may sound silly, but the site says forexample, Speaker, front door, passenger - Green wire. there wouldnt be another green wire under/near the dashboard would there? Dont want to cut another wire by mistake |

I have replaced the door speakers up front with MB-Quart 6" woofers. I found the wires just inside the car and cut them there and from there ran new wires to the trunk to connect to the amp. The short distance from inside the car to the speaker is not critical enough for me to go through the trouble of running the wire all the way to the speaker and I doubt you could hear the differance.
