Default Battery or Alternator?

Howdy folks, here's my first post as a 9000 owner having bought Tandino's Dad's Carlsson, a fine machine :P

Mrs P is primarily driving it and reported the battery light coming on a few times yesterday, and the computer seems to show a current of under 12 volts when running, surely this should be nearer 14?

The battery looks pretty recent (Pete-can you confirm?) so I figured the alternator may be on the way out.

Had a very quick look under the bonent this am, where is it ? Is it easy to swap?

Any advice gratefully rec'd

Iirc its on the left hand side of the engine,
I suspect its the Brushes/Voltage regulator on the side of the alternator,
About £20 for a new set and about 20 mins to change.

Pete.
