Made a DIY video on how to change the AC evaporator on the '03-'11 9-3. Hope this helps out anyone taking on the job. It's pretty straight forward as long as the expansion valve bracket bolts aren't too corroded.

Ha, I wish it was that easy when I did mine. Mine was just a bad expansion valve, which turned into a new evaporator. The bolts were rusted from the valve into the counter-sink plate in the back. I ended up having to take almost my entire dash out so i could remove the evaporator with the valve attached.
Removed mine with valve still attached and no other dash parts removed. If I ever dealt with seized expansion valve again, i would not hesitate to simply cut the tubes off the evaporator. Should have done that from the get-go.
Thanks for making that video, I watched it like 4 times before I tore into my girl's 9-3 to replace the evaporator and expansion valve, it was super helpful. I'm going to pull a vacuum in the morning and charge it back up if it holds. Thanks again!
