Default Rear seat

I know there are no stupid questions, well I'm going to test that theory.

Today I brought my 91 900 Turbo 3 door back home. While going through the car, I was trying to move the rear seat where I could fold it down. The back moves up and down but the bottom part doesn't budge. Is it different than my 87 3 door? How can I get this seat to move (if it moves at all, I imagine it would but I simply don't have enough energy to sit out there and play around with it for any longer )

Thanks in Advance.

on cars that are totally worn out you have to grab the little rope thing and tug on it to release teh latch. chances are your banged 900s was just so worn that the latch did nothing. if your talking about the upper part there are two latches with hadels that need ot be grabbed.

You may have to fish around between the seat back and base in the centre. There should be a latch and strap there...

OK I just came in from trying the backseat thing again, yet once again no suck luck. There is no strap or loop in there. I did find bottlecaps to Old English 800, but no strap. I did feel some kind of piping or tubing and what might be a spring, and I felt around for some kind of catch, but found nothing. Any suggestions?

To remove the lower seat without the strap, you need to unbolt the seat rail from the seat. It's just a couple of small screws from underneath.

Then you pull and twist the seat untill it unlatches.
