Default Answering your own post

Things are bad when you have to answer your own posts.
I did the brace today-on the other side to most of you-we are RHD down under.I changed it slightly as I couldnt get the 1/2"->1/4" reducer.I used a 1/2" cap and drilled it, put the 3/8" nut inside and the bolt through the outside.Tightening the cap held the nut .I also used my angle grinder to cut the tube so the end that attaches to the brace was 1/2 the thickness-I didi this as I dont have the means to crush the pipe ( even with a sledge hammer).Anyway it all looks good.
Does it work though?
Does seem to have tightened it up a bit, torque steer has already been reduced since I put on the Saab roadholding kit and Eibach springs.
Worth doing?
Probably, and the bits cost $8 aussie ie $4 us, or 3 quid

The brace works but the change in steering feeling is very small. It did seem to tighten up the steering a little but to be honest it did not make much of a difference. It is a pain to make, it takes several attempts to bend it correctly and get it to the correct length. But at a cost of less than $5 I can’t really complain about that. This is a good upgrade to do if you are bored.
