Default Can these rims be repaired? (pics)

Do you think:

1) Can these be repaied?
2) How much will it cost?
3) Is it worth it?

Why would you want to?
Really, if the tyre holds air and they don't wobble, save your bread. Get some new ones to repeat the experiment.

What do they look like on the inside? You will want them straight, first and foremost. You can pound them out yourself if you are careful and willing to work at it. If all you want is cosmetics, you can paint them yourself too. Wet sand with 200, working quickly and thoroughly up to 600. I like a high temperature (350 deg.) primer sealer on top of that to seal and to help fill any sanding scratches. On the curb rash, you can use a fine metal file or a Dremel at SLOW speed with a stone on it, and then sand using 220 and 320. Let the primer flash off for at least 30 mins or so before trying a silver base coat. Weurth makes a silver lacquer just for this, but I like polyurethane myself. If using lacquer, you can probably base coat after 30 mins., but with poly, a couple of hours cure time on the primer is better. Then you clearcoat, again, allowing plenty of flash and some decent cure time. (At least an hour in the sun for lacquer base and again, at least a couple of hours for ploy). Do not paint if the ambient temps are below 72 deg F.
If you pounded any of them out, it will have helped to have removed the tires. If you did not remove the tires, I presume you will have masked off the tires before spraying.
Yes, if you can salvage the wheels, it is worth it. Wheels are $$$.

I had a set of alloy rims repaired that were like that for about $300.00.

They filled in the holes with some tipe of compound and then painted over.
They looked brand new until i scratched them again and the compound that was a orange color could be seen in the scratches.
If you wanna spend the money, yes they can be fixed, just ask your local auto body or mechanic shops and they will know someone in the area that does it.

Appreciate all the comments guys...

These are actually the only thing left from my AERO which I scrapped for parts after a gentle crash test simulation into a concrete highway wall at 130km/hr in Jan 2003. Not a scratch on me (...and the other "crash test dummy" in the passenger seat) -- SAABs ARE SAFE!!!

If anyone knows someone that wants them I'll let them go for very cheap. This http://www.thesaabsite.com/9000/9000rims.htm site sells them for $370/ea (no tires). I'll give all four for less than that along with Racing Michelin 205/55ZR16 tires (two have about 50% thread left, other two 70%)

Just have no time for this project right now. If anyone is interested please PM me or email me a2n0d0r0e@yahoo.com , I can send more pics. I trade plenty on forums and have lots of positive feedback.

It was a metallic dark green '97 9000 AERO on a one way insurance...
