Peltier Cooling for Intercooler
With all this talk of intercooler misting, why not just use a peltier cooler (or multiple peltier coolers) from a PC?
I ran across this link for a peltier beer cooler: http://www.stud.ntnu.no/~arnesen/peltierbeer/ Why not apply this hack to an intercooler?

Peltiers take so much power to operate the drain on the alternator would suck more horsepower than you can possibly make out of it...

Its interesting, so you want to use this method to cool your IC down right, give it a go and see what happens.
It depends on the laternator in questions as to how much power it can produce, so lets say 30 amp current draw? thats not to bad at all. What have you go to lose really? i say go for it
