I've got an auxiliary oil pressure gauge (not VDO) but the sender is too large to be put in the stock location. I've thought of fitting it onto a t-piece, and running that off the drain plug hole. Does anyone know if I would still get the same oil pressure readings, or thereabouts, in these two locations?
Thanks |

Off of the Drain Plug?? No pressure there.
Perhaps you might consider a Capillary type oil Gauge instead.. far more accurate than the Electric things relatively inexpensive as well. But in either case do keep your "idiot light' oil pressure switch.. These are always far more acurate fast acting than any gauge can be.. it lets you know when the pressure is low.. instantly. |

You should see the pressure decrease on the gauge faster...
How about in the cooling lines?

Have you looked at installing the T-connector where the pressure sender is now, and running the sender and the gauge unit off this?
