Default Heat Exchange Unit Repair

Hello guys,
Eventhough it blows ice cold air, my car is diagnosed with the problem above. I saw that little yellow arm piece is broken. Did any of you bought that $225 kit below and fix it?

http://www.thesaabsite.com/95/95heaterboxrepair.html

Dealer gave me a $1200 estimate, and scared me by saying (if you wanted to fix it yourself you have to take to whole thing apart, it takes 8 hours)

saabsite people said 2 hours.
I am considering buying it, and anyof your comments and input is appreciated!

Thank you

I know of somebody about a year ago who fabricated a repair kit, he said it took about 1.5hrs to fix but he was a mechanic. He accessed the broken flap from the side without having to pull the whole heater assemby out. Thats about all I can recall.
