No it's the same, otherwise Saab is "trying" too hard for a facelift.

I think the '06's front overhang is longer And on the rear doors, the angle of the frame on the small triangular window is more raked towards the front of the car, whereas the '05 has the frame more at 90deg.

And I like how the '06's side profile of the tailight lens slimmer than the old version, and the lens itself protrudes more into the rear quarter panel.

Subtle details. Some better. Some not.

The overhang is longer, about 15mm i believe.

A bit too similar to me......



The front is ok, except for that chrome trim around the lights. All in all it just seems the same car with a front and rear lifting.
Basically the same exact thing they did with the 9000 in '93, but a lot uglier, the 9000CS looks like it was alla designed at the same time, while this 9-5 looks like the nose and the tail were designed 7 years after the middle section (which is).

Maybe in '93 they were saying the same thing about the 9000, and in a few years the 9-5 will be awesome, but for now....
