I've been shopping online for aftermarket wheels for my 1996 900S. It seems like nobody lists wheels for our cars! From what I've read, the bolt pattern is 5x110? For a 17" rim, I can go 215/40 on tires right? And last but not least, what is the backspacing needed for a Saab GM900?
Is there a range of backspacing that would fit? Thanks |

Correct size of tyres to fit a 17'' application for Saab ng900 or 9-3 is 215/45 17 but it is also possible to run 215/40 17- also without rubbing problems.. depends on the ride height of your car.
My car is lowered by around 35mm and is even fine with 225/45 17 tyres with 4 people and luggage. The wheel size you are looking for is 7Jx17 and as stated PCD 5/110mm stud pattern.. You can check out your car with a selection of wheels which are available from AEZ in North America (just choose a 9-3 for the picture..coz they don't have a 900 in the picture..but otherwise they are identical from a wheel perspective) http://www.aez-wheels.com/cgi-bin/ev...rm=web_start_1 Ronal, BBS, Speedline all do aftermarket wheels for Saab fitment - just check in at Tirerack. And these are also available from TSW.. http://www.tswnet.com/new/app_guide_...&B1=Submit |

I have 17inch Azev A with 205/45/17 which fit perfectly and no rubbing.
(Except the other day when I had 2 fat bloaters in the back of my car and every time I went over a bump I heard a nasty scraping noise coming from the back. I have however found a very successfull method for elimating all scraping noise, and that is to turn the stereo up full volume. Problem solved) |

I have 18's AXIS Se7ens with 40 series rubber on my 95 900set! I have had no problems with this setup. 8)
I'm currently selling these rims/tires for $900 if your interested. I am thinking of getting a deep dish wheel next! |

Thanks for the info and offer. I would like 17's though. If anybody out there has some nice looking 17's with tires that they want to sell, keep me posted!
