side mounted license plate?

so after my front plate and holder were destroyed by some jerk at the mall...im looking at other options. I really like the way plates are mountedon the mitsubishi evo 8's and was thiking about buying one of there brackets and screweing it to the bumper on one side or another and the filling the old holes and hitting them with the touch up stick...also figured my new front mount would benefit too....


any input?
