I am sure this has been discussed ad-naseum on this board, although I could not find a definitive answer through a search, so forgive me if this has been hacked to death earlier.
I just purchased my 2004 aero wagon with 600 miles. The dealer of course recommends a 15K interval for oil change, but even for a synthetic this seems to be quite long especially for the first change. Is there any consensus as to when the first change should occur? Do people really wait 15k to change out their oil?? |

Hello,
Just change it every 5K, seems most people recommend this. I thought the dealer recommendations were every year or 12K?? Dave |

Welcome Lex
We do advocate changing the oil and filter and sump plug washer at 5-6,000 miles, its very cheap piece of mind
