"Race" Rear Anti Roll Bar

So I've been planning to do this upgrade and order from MP Performance but just noticed a slightly thicker version... if you use the pull down menu you'll notice "race" 25.5mm instead of the standard 22mm... any reason not to get this over the MP?

Not for your convertible. It will be too harsh. Also it is not for the timid. It will make oversteer. For your CV; 22mm is plenty. 19mm if you are worried about ride harshness.

Out of curiosity and my general knowledge, how does a rear anti sway bar contribute towards oversteer?

The lateral forces acting on the back of your car in a turn are not able to be transferred into body roll as much, instead of leaning over, the car remains rather flat. The lateral force has to go somewhere (conservation of momentum, thanks high school physics, I knew I'd use you some day).
Basically if the car isn't leaning over, all that energy is pushing the back of your car directly towards the outside of the turn, which can lead to the back end stepping out - thus, oversteer.

Now if one of the real physics people can come put me to shame, that'd be great

I plan on using it because I have a 24mm front. If you plan on getting the 25.5, I highly recomend upgrading the front to 24 instead of your stock 19.

I have the 25mm on my 5 door and love it as well, I am planning on upgrading to the 24mm front bar, when i get the whole kit from genuine, with poly's and everything
