Hey everyone, I have a '85 900 turbo with 208k on it. I was wondering what your opinions are about giving this car boost and going about 80 consistently on the highway. Although I know obviously treating any car poorly will result in bad things, yet the car was very well taken care of for the 10 years prior to me buying it 2 months ago. By giving it a good ammount of boost without revving past about 3k, is there much engine damage occuring? Thanks for any input!

If by 'giving it a good amount of boost' you mean just getting your right foot in it and flying down the highway, go for it.
If you mean that you've cranked up the boost by fiddling with the APC potentiometers, I'd be a little careful. Still prolly ok if you haven't gone overboard, but too much boost can break things.... |

wow 80mph, i feel safe at these speeds. its like 120mph that i get scetched at fuul boost (only once tho) 80-90 is typical for me at nite on the freeway, nice and open and clear along with some guy infront of me dooin the same thing. i even power on the onramps full throttle in 3rd! just a bit into the red. no issues yet, i felt bad today so i'm now running mobil 1!

Depending on the conditions of course, when it's night like 2am I often peg my US speedo...
