Default 9-7X sighting

Today I went to Windsor, Canada with some friends for lunch and a duty-free store trip. As we left the restaraunt we were at, there was a Red 9-7x Arc with Michigan plates on it. This is definitely the best looking renditon of the platform...
Is this the first on-road sighting anyone has seen?

Stange thing is you might have seen my uncle, he was in Canada this weekend and last I heard he still had his company 9-7. For myself I've seen a couple this week, think my sighting total is up to six or seven. Always lots of company vechiles in southern eastern lower MI.

We went up for Dim Sum at the Wong Court Inn, on University blvd. We go up about once a month... it's an hour drive from Toledo but so worth it for the food... now if they would just stop searching my damn VUE at the border every time...
at any rate, this 9-7x was hot hot hot... exactly equipped how I would buy one if I were shopping.
On another note... the company I intern with is next door to/shares a parking lot with the GM Moraine Assembly plant where the 9-7x is made, and I have quite a bit of family working there. In discussions with my uncle this weekend, he said that right now maybe 30/500 vehicles produced are 9-7x trucks. I also have yet to see any sitting in the holding lot waiting to be loaded on the trains or trucks.

I think the intent may be to only produce limited numbers in 2005 with a higher volume/option content in 2006 model year.

I still have not seen one on the road anywhere from Ontario into Michigan, Illinois, Kansas or Oklahoma. Sounds like the one you saw at the border is close to what I would order/buy.

We have a Moraine built 2003, short wheelbase, 2 wheel drive, GMC Envoy with all the bells and whistles and it's been great. Add Saab tuned suspension, etc and I think I'm driving a 9-7x in 2006.

I saw a Red one in suburban Detroit this weekend also. It was very nice. I like that it is lower and that the 18 inch wheels fill the wheel wells nicely.

Maybe it was the same one... I was literally right across and under the bridge from Detroit.

That's interesting... red will won't be a color offered this year... only silver, black, and blue...

I just test drove an Ocean Blue 9-7 Arc. It definitely had a comfortable ride and the V8 had more then enough power. I didn’t spend a lot of time with the vehicle, but overall I was happy enough to purchase a Linear. While the interior is “Saab-like” you can still see similarities between the envoy/trailblazer especially in the thermostat and radio controls.

Originally I was looking at the ocean blue color, but I can tell you the pictures on the website look nothing like the actual color. It’s a much brighter blue then they show on the website.

Welcome to the forums and glad you enjoyed the 9-7x. I concur that especially the HVAC and radio controls are very TB/Envoy-ish. So you said that at first you were looking at the ocean blue, what did you find the best looking? And you said that you purchased a Linear. Congrats on your new vehicle, and I hope that you enjoy it!

I actually haven’t received my Linear yet. I have to wait a few weeks for delivery and the official lease rates don’t come out until tomorrow. I haven’t actually seen the silver up close just the Black and Ocean Blue. I don’t see the Ocean Blue being a big seller.

From the orders I saw most were coming with sunroofs. I opted for one of the few with a DVD.

So far I've seen a Silver one, A Gold one, and last night saw a red/claret/burgandy one. Thought the only colors for this year were Black, Silver and Blue?

If so, where are these other colors coming from? The Gold is my personal favorite so far.
