Hi, I'm looking at the ForgeMotorsports BOV and have some questions, how hard is the install, and which one do i choose, the 200hp, or the 170hp? Anyone have any sound clips, is the sound noticible?

the "bov" with the option of 175 hp or 210 hp is for the 9-3 sport sedan 03+ and vert 04+. our cars, 94-98 900 and 99-02 9-3 + 03 vert use the same bpv or bov. if your car is a 94-99 excluding the 99 viggen, you can use a bov. what is your car?
here is some info that will seriously help you and should clear up any other questions. http://www.saabcentral.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=45517 http://www.saabcentral.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=45185 |

I wrote up a huge review on the damn thing http://www.saabcentral.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=30096 [here], but they took all of my pictures off the thing when they updated the site!!!!
I'm still happy with the BOV-get it. |

I noticed they had come out with a blow off valve for the new SS saabs....they use trionic 8, so i was wondereing, will it work for t7 too? they somehow solved the lost air problem...

some said they are having cel issues. i think it lets some air out, but not all, thats why it has that freaky deaky two way thing goin on. there is some valve people have used on t-7 that does essentially the same thing, i think its in one of those threads i posted the links to.

With all of this talk about getting bov's to fit on T7's, I see the only real reason to do this over a regular bpv is for the extra noise. But with a forge bpv, and a free-flow intake, such as the genuine one or the DIY 3" intake mod you get considerable noise. I have heard other Saabs with this set up, and while not quite as loud as my turboxs rfl bov, it is still quiet clear when going down the road to an observer.

yea it is pretty loud...but its more like a rush of air as opposed to a loud blast from a BOV....RFL is so much more loud then the DV/intake setup....i had one on the rex and tried it out on the saab for a day(with LOTS of issues) and it was way different

Yeah, the rush of air is the turbo, not the bov.

no, i think of the turbo sound as more of a sucking sound....when i say rush...it's(diverter valve/intake) like a drawn out blow off valve niose...its not a loud blast but a longer sort of rush of air....its kinda hard to interpret sounds and put them into words...
