Default New toy (not Saab related)

Well I picked up a new toy today

Custom shot:

Side shot:

There's nothing like that 'new' feeling

In case anyone wants the specs: 43hp, 650cc four stroke single, about 105mph flat out, should be a bit of a wheeliemachine!

Nice! I love those four strokers for cruising along in the woods. Especially when you need to maneuver around rocks and trees ( I live in New England, it's probably a bit different in Texas) it's nice to have the torque on tap. At least that's how it was with my ancient Honda.

I have no interest in murdercycles, but I can see the appeal. Be careful and enjoy it.

Heh. Looks good, I like the smaller bikes. The first bike I ever rode was my Uncles 1969 Triumph, stock that's alot of power for a first timer on a dirt road, with my uncles tweeks it was way too much. 4 years later and my *** still has tread marks on it

Interesting. My dad, a surgeon, simply called them "donors." When I was young (early teens), and mentioned I wanted to get a motorcycle, he said he'd break both my arms if I ever did. I'm not sure if that's what's kept me from getting one, but I haven't gotten one.

Hehe! Don't worry guys, I am being very careful on the bike. I bought it to use off-road primarily, I'm lucky to have a lovely 9-3 BSR to get me to work and back. While the bike will do 105, it won't with me on it - I wouldnt go near an interstate on my bike, 45-55mph on a bike is dangerous enough.

Although, when you are on the road, it's usually the 'other idiots' you have to watch out for. Yes, there are a lot of single vehicle accidents with bikes mostly due to excessive speed, but these people who ride stupidly are doing the gene pool a favour, at least.

To the non-motorcyclists: as fellow Saab drivers, I'd ask you give forethought and concentration of whats going on around you, you can help people like me not become just another statistic/organ donor.

Pledging to not use your cellphone while at the wheel would be a good start, and you won't have to break the 'bad habit' when it becomes illegal!

I spend nearly as much time on a bicycle as in my car. So I pay close attention to both bicycles and motorcycles when I'm driving. Most people are pretty good. There's always a few jerks, though.

My father is the CT technician at a local hospital. He wouldnt let me get a motorcycle or atv or anything of the sort.. he sees too many accidents come in of that nature. All the ski accidents go to another hospital so ive been able to do that with no problem
